Joining the club

You can come along to any of our meets, to see what we are like and if you want to join us. Get in touch with the meet leader and arrange to come along. The secretary can put you in contact with the meet leader.

Membership Application

To join the club you must either be

  1. a graduate of the University of London (including Imperial College)
  2. a past or present post-graduate of the University of London (including Imperial College)
  3. a member of staff of the University of London (including Imperial College) 
  4. a former member of the University of London Mountaineering Club
  5. proposed and seconded by existing full members of the club (come along to a meet)

The membership secretary will contact you about payment of membership fees (currently £20 for single and £30 for joint UK membership, £6.50/£8.50 for non-UK, £7 for each BMC insured child). Or print out and fill in an application form and mail it to the membership secretary (address on form).

Children of members registered with BMC under 18 years are not covered by the BMC liability insurance unless paid for separately. As an option, they may be covered for a fee of £7 per child. If you wish them to be covered, please list the name(s) and age(s) of the children under the age of 18:

Unless you are a graduate, post graduate or a member of staff of a University of London college or an ex-ULMC member you need to be nominated by 2 current members of the club. Your application will then be forwarded to the committee for consideration. You are welcome to attend any club meets on a trial basis to obtain the required nominations.
